France born, polish accordionist Basha Slavinska is an exceptionally gifted and versatile young artist, hailed as the rising star of the world's greatest virtuosos. She began playing the accordion at age 7 at a music school in Gdansk. At 10 she made her solo debut at the Frederic Chopin's Philharmonic and next at the Gdansk Baltic Opera. At 11 she played a concert with the famous cellist Misha Maisky, who sponsored the purchase of her new concert instrument.

She won numerous competition prizes and awards, including the 1st Prize & Special Award in International Accordion Festival in Poland; 2nd Prize in the Coupe Mondiale competition in Washington; International Grand Prix "Jeunes Talents", Montrond-les-Bains, France; 1st Prize and Special Award - International Bellan Competition, Paris…

Basha has received several presidential awards and scholarships in support of her talent, including one of Poland's highest awards: “Young Poland” - from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, National Fund for Gifted Children, award “Young Creator of Culture" and many Prizes for the outstanding achievement in promoting Polish culture in the world.

In 2012 she is laureate International Cziffra’s Foundation and in 2014 of Bank Populaire Foundation.                                                             

At the same time she got her Master's degree in the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse of Paris; Max Bonnay's class.

 

Basha Slavinska is invited by the greatest classical music festivals in France:  the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims, L'Abbaye de l'Epau, Classique Au Vert, Salle Cortot, and other... She has also performed all throughout Poland, in USA, in Germany, in Russia, in Slovakia, in Serbia, Italy, USA.
